The mission of CityLight Church is to raise a company of people who make a difference in our world; and we do this by helping people know God, love people, find freedom, discover their purpose, make a difference, and lead people to Christ.

THE CITYLIGHT VISION (Our Dream for the Community)

Vision is a picture in the heart of a future state. As we faithfully fulfill our mission set forth above in the lives of every individual, here is what we see The CityLight becoming:

* It is the dream of a place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, the sick, the confused, the lost can find a haven of love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, covering, encouragement and joy.

* It is the dream of saturating the life of every member, visitor and the thousands of residents of the city of Chicago with the delivering truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ; presenting it with clarity , simplicity and signs and wonders and demonstrations of the Spirit until they experience it practically. It is the dream of fostering and demonstrating unity with other churches in the city to accomplish this goal.

* It is the dream of welcoming at least 50,000 members into a living family-connecting, caring, laughing, loving, learning, and living in harmony together and with other churches.

* It is the dream of developing people to spiritual maturity through Bible training, small groups, seminars, conferences and a bible institute.

* It is the dream of equipping every member for a significant ministry by helping them discover and develop their gifts and callings in God.

* It is the dream of sending out thousands of missionaries into every man’s world in the city and into the continents of the world. Empowering each member to fulfill his personal life purpose, acting as bridges of love to the world. It is the dream of starting cell groups, daughter churches and launching ministries of every sort through members each year to minister to the practical needs humanity.

* It is the dream of the WORLD IMPACT CENTER which is several acres of land on which will be built the worship facility of the church seating thousands, a bible institute with classrooms, hostels and lecture theaters for students from different parts of the world, a world missionary mobilization tower, a publishing center, a recreational and prayer resort center with rooms for people who come from different parts of the world to rest and seek God in prayer.
